Banksy Dismaland Theme Park Tour, Digital Art News.

Its funny though.. the biggest attraction are people that actually went there, bought the tickets, did the obviously impossible fishing thing and the pingpong ball thing etc. AND some even bought the Iam an imbecile balloons.. most visitors didnt even care too much about the actual art.. all very cool though wish I couldve went anyhow.. I am blessed I went to Walt Disney World as a child. This looks depressing, creepy and sinister- which is the point. The Cinderella exhibit deff. reflects Princess Diana- very upsetting but the very slow Merry-Go-Round reminds me of Father Ted- the rubbish 'fairground.'

So much fun seeing Banksy, Damien Hirst and all the others art here. Something to remember.

One Day in Dismaland - Banksy's Bemusement Park - ARTE Creative, digital art news.

The exhibition attracted more than 150,000 visitors over its five-week run and brought an economic boost of an estimated £20million to the local economy. A-list stars including actor Brad Pitt and comedian Russell Brand were among those to make a visit. And while millions across the globe will probably remember the Tropicana for Dismaland, the seafront attraction’s success has continued since Banksy’s arrival. North Somerset Council has pumped hundreds of thousands of pounds into improving the building to make it into what is now a favoured and thriving entertainment venue in the town. Last year it was used to house a theme park in the summer and the UK’s biggest outdoor ice rink in the lead up to Christmas.

LAZARIDES: He's the eternal rebel! But in all the years I've worked with him he never got caught. So for someone who was that prolific we did some insane stunts. One of the reasons for his anonymity was not some clever self-promotional tool but when he was just a straight up graffitti artist in the mid-90s... He was absolutely prolific and there was a policy towards graffiti so he adopted the anonymity purely to not get arrested and then that became part of his persona.

I have always been a big fan of Arte. It certainly is the best channel on German (and maybe French) TV. However, I would like to say that I find this documentary rather disappointing. One gets the impression that Lars & Butterfly are always thinking: "Ok, we've got to say something, what do we say next?" Rather poorly prepared and executed. Probably the least professional I've ever seen on Arte.
